Underwater Inspection & Intervention Engineer

Responsibilities :
- Ensuring that GSS UII offshore activities strictly comply CLIENT HSSE&SP requirements and culture of safe underwater inspection / intervention practice, including encouraging survey and diving contractors in their continuing development of the same.
- Application of the CLIENT Technical Specifications to work executed by contractors.
- Site approval of subsea inspection reports (including mapping) , input to offshore survey reports in general.
- Completion of CSR report including lessons learned for each completed SOW
- On site client representative for offshore GSS inspection work scopes – focal point for work scope
- Review and confirm that contractors Diving Project Plans, Emergency Response Plans, and dive plans are formally approved by Dive ASME / TA 2 prior to implementation.
- Ensure contractor compliance with OGP and IMCA standards throughout CLIENT with special emphasis on diving safety.
- Ensure that the contractor collects and executes field reporting for accurate corrosion and condition monitoring information that is correctly linked to geographic location related to sub-sea assets.
- Provide advice and recommendations to maintain sub-sea asset integrity.
- Supervise sub-sea inspection of company assets
- On site verification of compliance with company and regulatory inspection and design code requirements.
Competences :
Roles and Responsibilities of a Shell Authorized Person for Diving OperationsWorking knowledge of all types of sub-sea activities including routine maintenance, inspection and underwater NDT.Planning and supervising sub-sea inspection and maintenance activities in an offshore environment.Understanding of underwater repair techniques.Understanding of sub-sea equipment operating parameters particularly in relation to inspection activities. Ability to draft maintenance related scopes of work and procedures.Participate in HAZID , WRAP and TRIC meetings for planned SOW
Requirements :
Degree in civil engineering and survey with 3 years discipline or relevant industry experience (covering Inspection, Survey, Mechanical, Materials, Maintenance Engineering in the offshore Oil & Gas industry), or 1-2 years commercial diver and diving management experience .CSWIP 3.4U or equivalent NDT, UT, MPI, and CP qualificationKnowledge and experience with site JSA and toolbox talksPreparation and application of Job Safety Analyses as they relate to diving and remote operated vehicle operations.Ability to collate intelligent sub-sea equipment survey results for submittal to classification society review and approval.
