Position : OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) Manager – Airport Expansion Project
Location : Almaty, Kazakhstan
Starting Date : Immediate Mobilization
Duration : 3 years (with possibility of extension)

Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) in line with international and local regulations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures across all construction phases of the airport expansion project.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate and oversee HSE training, induction sessions, and safety drills for workers and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring timely root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Liaise with project management, engineering, and construction teams to integrate HSE requirements into planning and execution.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, permits, risk assessments, and registers.
- Ensure compliance with Kazakhstan’s national health and safety legislation and client-specific HSE requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client and third-party safety representatives.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Minimum 3 years of HSE experience on major construction or infrastructure projects, ideally including airport or civil infrastructure works.Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (e.g. ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001) and local Kazakh health & safety legislation.Proven ability to lead HSE teams and manage safety performance in multicultural project environments.Experience with life camp operations, remote site logistics, and multicultural workforce engagement is a plus.Strong incident investigation and risk assessment capabilities.Proficiency in HSE documentation, reporting, and audit preparation.Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Turkish is considered a strong advantage.
