Responsibilities :
- Strong understanding of the project from a business perspective;
- Strong understanding of system architecture. Knowing how to add new features while maintaining code simplicity and robustness;
- Participating in code reviews;
- Writing defensive code;
- Awareness of code performance;
- Maintaining a good working relationship with the Tech Lead;
- Efficient API protocol negotiation with other teams;
- Explaining system workings to other members;
- Contributing ideas and raising questions in group discussions;
- Addressing small code issues (bad design) immediately and planning for larger ones;
- Adapting to changes in technology and project requirements;
- Ensuring features work well post-release;
- Questioning the value of tasks : whether the requested change is worth doing vs the cost of increased complexity and development time;
- Striving for bug-free features;
- Proactively investigating bug reports.
